"Part of Deanston's core range the 12 year old gives a very interesting experience. Aged the full 12 years in bourbon casks it has honey and citrus on the nose, with a floral finish that's reminiscent of cress. It has a rich depth of flavour with a spicy sweet taste and a herbaceous finish. There is a lovely mild heat that lingers on the tongue long after you swallow. The spicy sweetness builds as you work your way through the dram with the herbaceousness moving back and a lovely clove flavour coming through."
